JOIN US FOR TEXAS FORCES DAY
Flat Dumb & Happy was founded by veterans to support those who have served — and those who continue to serve in first responder roles. Our mission is simple but powerful: to guide veterans into their next chapter with purpose, pride, and community so no one transitions alone. We provide real-world tools, trusted connections, and boots-on-the-ground support for veterans moving into law enforcement and other first responder careers.

That is why we are proud to host the official Texas Special Forces Day 2026 celebration.

What is Texas Special Forces Day?
Texas Special Forces Day (June 28) was officially established by the Texas Legislature in 2023 through House Bill 2499 and the addition of Texas Government Code §662.087, to honor the courage, sacrifice, and continued service of men and women who have worn the Green Beret or served in any U.S. Special Operations Forces. Texas has deep roots in the Special Forces community — from training and deployment to the families and communities that welcome them home. It is more than a date on the calendar; it is a statewide recognition of the quiet professionals who protect our freedoms and embody the values of honor, service, and brotherhood.

Why We Host This Event

By hosting this official Texas Special Forces Day formal banquet it gives us the opportunity to:

-
Publicly honor the legacy and service of Texas Special Operations — past, present, and those we remember.
-
Bring the community together — veterans, families, first responders, community leaders, and supporters — to celebrate service and sacrifice in a meaningful way.
-
Fuel our mission — Every ticket sold and every sponsorship directly supports Flat Dumb & Happy’s programs that help veterans transition into meaningful civilian careers, especially in law enforcement and first responder roles.

This is not just another event. It is a powerful way for us to live out our core values: Honor the sacrifice, Empower the next mission, and Connect those who have served with the community that stands behind them.

Whether you attend, sponsor, or simply make a tax-deductible donation, your participation helps ensure that the same warriors who answered the call overseas continue to find purpose, support, and brotherhood here at home.

We invite you to join us on June 28, 2026, as we proudly celebrate Texas Special Forces Day and invest in the veterans and first responders who still answer the call every day.
Because service never stops — and neither does our commitment to those who serve.
